Jean Monnet Transcarpathian Center for Studying European Development Strategies (JMTC) announces a competition for student research papers on ‘Implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU in the context of cross-border cooperation’ (based on the Educational and Research Institute of European Integration Studies and Faculty of History of International Relations of Uzhhorod National University).
The competition will be held in the following areas of research in the context of cross-border cooperation:
• European foreign policy, security and diplomacy.
• European economic integration and trade policy.
• European innovation, industrial and business policy.
• European ‘Green Deal’ and its implementation in Ukraine.
• European digital economy and e-commerce.
• European financial mechanisms.
• Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU: implementation analysis and consequences and prospects for the Carpathian Euroregion (Transcarpathia).
• European regional studies.
• European market of tourist services.
The results of the competition will be summed up at the end of March 2022 by direct informing of the participants and the official announcement of the results on the official JMTC Facebook page . The winning scientific papers will be published on the portal http://eurodev.uzhnu.edu.ua/index.php/uk/
Students, undergraduates and graduate students who studying for bachelor's, master's, doctoral degrees in higher education institutions of Ukraine, regardless of ownership and subordination, including foreigners and stateless persons studying in these institutions, students of higher education institutions of other countries are invited to participate in the competition.
Research papers designed according to the following requirements are eligible to be submitted to the competition:
text of the papers: 14 point Times New Roman, in 1.5 space;
A4 format; edges: left – 3 cm, right – 1 cm, upper and lower – 2 cm;
content, introduction, sections, conclusions, list of used literature and annotation; research paper must contain references to sources of information in the case of the use of ideas, statements, information obtained by others;
the total volume of pages should not exceed 12 pages without taking into account annexes and the list of literature sources; images and illustrations attached to the scientific paper must be arranged on an A3 or A4 sheet.

Contestants whose works are eligible for awards based on the results of the review will be additionally informed about the jury’s decision and accordingly motivated by the awards (certificates, as well as forms of incentives for the best works - the winners of the competition).

The annotation of the research paper indicates: relevance, purpose, tasks of the scientific paper, used research methods; general characteristics of scientific paper (structure, volume, number of schemes, tables, used scientific sources, etc.). At the end of the annotation is a set of keywords (terminological phrases) used in scientific paper and determine its subject (direction), the total number of keywords should be not less than three, but not more than ten. Keywords are added in the nominative case, printed in a line, separated by a comma.
The text of the annotation in English and Ukrainian should be concise and reflect the main content of the work.
