The official opening of the Training Office of the Jean Monnet Transcarpathian Center at Uzhhorod National University took place on April 23.

Its first visitors were students from the Department of Military Training.

Members of the project team, representatives of the Rector's Office, Head of the Department of Euroregional Cooperation of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Bilak attended the event, headed by the Rector Prof. Volodymyr Smolanka.

The event participants also visited other premises of the Jean Monnet Center, namely the Auditorium and the Meeting room of the working group members and the expert.

A meeting of the project team members with the participation of Rector of UzhNU Prof. Volodymyr Smolanka, and a representative of the regional state administration Oleksandr Bilak, took place in the conference hall.

The Rector stressed the importance of the university's participation in international grant projects, including Erasmus +. As it differentiates UzhNU from other institutions of higher education, it increases its international rating.

Alexander Bilak outlined the possibilities of cooperation with the department of the regional state administration headed by him to improve the quality of European studies.

The project manager Ivan Artyomov analyzed the work of the executors works for six months from the beginning of the project implementation.

Various aspects of the functioning of the Jean Monnet Transcarpathian Center were discussed in the speeches of Ivan Vovkanych, Vitaliy Andreyko, Petro Tokar, Oksana Sviezhentseva, and Lyudmyla Sereda. Particular attention was focused on the need to intensify preparation for summer schools for students, improve the work on visibility activities of team members, and more.
