SU «Uzhhorod National University» - the winner of Erasmus + 2020 competitions

 The project activity continues to bring positive results and regular victories of the SU «UzhNU» team. Recently, the European Commission’s Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture (EACEA) announced the results of the 2020 Jean Monnet competition. The project application «Jean Monnet Transcarpathian Center for the Studying European Development Strategies» brought the first victory of SU «Uzhhorod National University» in this direction. The idea, prepared by a team of university researchers (headed by Director of the Educational and Research Institute of European Integration Studies, Professor Ivan Artyomov), won a strong competition with high competition, scoring 85 points out of 100. By the way, out of 1 500 applications for EU co-financing, only 360 were selected, in particular in Ukraine - 38.

 The Centre’s activities will be aimed at studying the best experience of Ukraine’s neighboring regions of Eastern European EU member states, by analyzing existing competitive EU strategies and creating on this basis specific scientific products for implementation at the state and regional levels, in the educational activities of higher education institutions and for public awareness.

 Functioning of the Center of Excellence will cover research, development of teaching materials, accumulation and dissemination of knowledge and documentary resources on the issue of European integration and its Ukrainian dimension through cross-border cooperation with neighboring Eastern European countries, according to the Head of the Department of International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Oksana Sviezhentseva.

 Thus, the success of university scientists, their victories in European projects are additional opportunities for modernization of the educational and scientific process, improvement of modern teaching methods, teaching and training of future professionals.
