Сollective monograph ‘European and Euro-Atlantic Integration: State and Implementation Prospects (2014-2022)’ has been published in the framework of the international scientific project ‘Jean Monnet Transcarpathian Center for Studying European Development Strategies at Uzhhorod National University’ following after the educational and methodological complex for master’s students in the discipline ‘Actual Problems of Foreign Policy of Ukraine’. (Authors: Ivan Artyomov, Stepan Vidnyanskyy, Іhor Todorov, Petro Tokar).
The monograph, formed on a wide and modern source base, reveals the role of Ukraine in the modern geopolitical space, which is dynamically transforming. It focuses on the positive evolution of Ukraine’s multifaceted relations with the European Union and its individual member states. It notes Ukraine’s inevitable path to the Euro-Atlantic community and new challenges, including migration, demographic and other challenges. The monograph deals with the complex and controversial process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, which fully meets the requirements of the time and public demands, contributing to rethinking the place and role of Ukraine in the integration, and global processes.
The monograph contains rich and original concrete historical material, which is analyzed and summarized. It will enable the reader to find out more deeply about the historical experience of the creation and operation of the EU and NATO, understand the main prerequisites, stages, problems and prospects of Ukraine’s cooperation with these powerful and authoritative international organizations, in particular the impact of signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union (2014) and the acquisition by our state of the official status of a candidate for EU accession (2022), to understand the strategy and course of Ukrainian reforms, the process of modernization and Europeanization of Ukraine in general, as well as the importance of cooperation and assistance from NATO countries in the heroic resistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people to Russian aggression.
The monograph was published in an edition of 300 copies, 100 of which were transferred to the library fund and 100 to the faculties of the Uzhhorod National University.
